Iris Stitch Vibrant Springtime Tulip Crochet Blanket

The Iris Stitch Springtime Tulip Crochet Blanket gives off a vibrant and cheery vibe. I wanted to create a blanket with a quick stitch and something that didn’t require a lot of concentration. The Iris Stitch did not disappoint. And I’m excited to share this pattern with you!

Design

The Iris Stitch is a 1 row repeat that includes both double crochet stitches and chains. After the first few rows of getting the hang of it, the Iris Stitch was super easy to crochet.

Instead of using a border on this blanket, I thought pom-poms would really compliment the blanket. I did four total; one in each corner. And because this blanket uses six different colors, I mixed all six colors when making the pom-poms. I feel it really brought all the colors together.

Materials

For the Iris Stitch Springtime Tulip Crochet Blanket, I used Joann’s Big Twist Value Yarn. It offered all the colors I needed to create the blanket. I saw a picture of several different colored tulips together and really loved how the colors worked together and thought it would create a beautiful blanket. I found the Value Yarn was really easy to work with. I also used a size H (5mm) hook which worked well with this stitch.
