Sunrise Primrose Stitch Baby Blanket Pattern

When it comes to creating something special for a little one, few things are as heartwarming as a handmade baby blanket.  The Sunrise Primrose Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket is the perfect choice for beginners or experienced crocheters.  With its delicate yet sturdy design, this pattern produces a beautiful and cozy blanket that is perfect for both newborns and infants.  The pattern includes step-by-step instructions, so you’ll learn everything you need to know to create your own stunning version of the Sunrise Primrose Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket.

Design

The Primrose Stitch is a 2 row repeat that includes chains, single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet stitches. And I wanted to keep it simple with the yarn, so I stuck with one multi-colored yarn to add a pop of color.

I kept the border easy by using a simple border pattern that consists of chains and single crochet stitches. I wanted something that finished off the blanket and also complemented the Primrose Stitch.

Materials

For the Primrose Stitch Baby Blanket, I used Joann’s Big Twist Value Yarn. I wanted to add to color but I also didn’t want to be changing yarn colors every couple of rows, so I chose the Warm Brights colored yarn. It added a beautiful pop of color that reminded me of a summer sunrise. I also used a size H (5mm) hook which worked well with the stitch.
