Today I’m sharing 6 different crochet resources that I find super helpful! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to look this info up on Google or Pinterest. And now all the resources will be in one place.
Below I have compiled quick reference guides for yarn, crochet hooks, stitches, abbreviations, foundation row, and crochet blanket sizes that I have found on the internet.
I hope you will find these quick references helpful too!!
The first is a chart showing the different yarn weights and types of yarn that fit into those categories. I pulled this from Moogly – I love it because it’s super easy to read and use!
Next I have included a quick reference to crochet hook sizes from Smartknitcrocheting.com. It includes both the US and Metric conversions. It’s super helpful when a pattern might not have listed all the conversions.
This next reference sheet I absolutely love – crochet abbreviations. I find that sometimes when I/m working on a pattern, I can’t remember what all the different abbreviations stand for. So this is a perfect reference guide that I found from AllFreeCrochet.
Next up I include a chart with the some of the different stitch symbols used with patterns. Again I find this one super helpful when I’m doing a crochet pattern that includes charts. I pulled this visual from Nicki’s Homemade Crafts.
This next visual is a nice picture of a foundation row so it’s perfect for beginners who are learning to read crochet patterns. It includes the numbers for each stitch as well. The visual was created by American Crochet Association.
Next up is something I look for frequently with each new blanket I make – the size chart for different blankets! 😀 This chart comes from Oombawkadesigncrochet.com.
I would love to get your feedback! Reach out with any questions or comments or send me pictures of your work!! I’d love to see them.
Have an amazing day!
Heather
