Waffle Stitch is one of my favorite crochet stitches. The stitch consists of double crochet and front post double crochet stitches. The pattern is a two row repeat and once you get the hang of the stitch, it works up very quickly.
I used the waffle stitch for a baby blanket and it looked beautiful. The waffle stitch is very versatile and can be used across several different crochet projects: blankets, kitchen towels, cardigans. The possibilities are endless! The one call-out is that this stitch does use a lot of yarn, so make sure you stock up when you start your project.
